Forex refers for Foreign Exchange and is the term used to describe the value of one currency in relation to another. Forex trading is the simultaneous buying of one currency and selling of another. The price of currencies is floating and dependent on supply and demand. Foreign exchange is always traded in pairs, for example EUR/USD or AUD/USD.
A CFD (contract for difference) is based on an underlying financial instrument and allows an investor to experience all the benefits and risks for owning the underlying security without actually owning it. Thus, when a Client decides to open a buy position on a CFD on shares, for example Apple, he is not actually buying shares in Apple Inc, he is just speculating on the future price movement of the CFD.
For detailed information regarding the spreads, please check the specifications for the specific instrument and for each account type: https://www.scopemarkets.eu/en/how-it-works/spreads.

On Platinum account, when trading FX, Metals & Spot Energies there is a commission fee of 3USD for every 1 lot USD traded upon opening a position and 3USD upon closing the position. However, the spreads on Platinum account are lower than those of other account types.

When trading Shares there is a commission of 0.30% of the Notional Volume which applies for all three account types. Shares Commission Formula & Example can be found below:
